Biography
Edgar Jay Keller (known by his middle name) was born in Albany, Albany County, New York, USA, on June 3 1916 (also claims June 1 1916) to parents Frank Joseph and Adeline (“Addie”) (nee Ernst) Keller.
By 1920 the family were living in Missouri. Jay moved to Vermont at some point, where he married Pauline Cecelia Murphy on June 15 1940 in Burlington, Chittenden County. The couple went on to have at least five children together. Pauline passed away on August 15 1992, leaving Jay a widower until he remarried to Marie Catherine DiCiaccio (nee Fiorino) on February 6 1999 in Burlington. He was again widowed, this time on January 28 2024 – Marie was 104.
In June 2026 he celebrated his 110th birthday, gaining supercentenarian status. Jay lived in the Greater Burlington area, Chittenden County, Vermont, at age 110. He passed away there on July 11 2026 at the age of 110 years, 38 days.
