Biography
Hattie Louise Brown was born in Harris County, Georgia, USA, on December 13 1913 to parents Anderson and Jane (“Janie”) (nee McKay) Brown.
By 1910 the family had relocated to Ohio. On January 31 1931 she married Gennie Harshaw there in Franklin County. The couple went on to have at least one child together – a son. Gennie passed away on February 11 1991, after which Hattie never remarried.
In December 2023 she celebrated her 110th birthday, gaining status as a supercentenarian.
Hattie passed away in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, on November 12 2024, aged 110 years, 335 days.
