Dollie Booten was born on March 7 1914 in Reva, Culpeper County, Virginia, USA, to Burnette and Sallie Roe (nee Shanks) Booten.
She moved to New York in the 1930’s. On June 6 1936, she married Arthur Lee Berry in Manhattan, New York City. They went on to have at least two children together. Arthur passed away at some point after 1950, leaving Dollie a widow for her remaining years.
Longevity would appear to run in Dollie’s family – a sister lived to 108, passing away in 2020.
She passed away in New York City, New York, at age 112 years, 70 days, on May 16 2026.
