January 2018; Czesława Łasiewicz, 111 & Wacław Jan Kroczek in Mońki, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland. Mrs. Łasiewicz was the second-oldest living person in Poland at the time of her 111th birthday in January 2018. With her closest family, she has built a unique intergenerational and unconditional love, setting the example of how one’s senior years should look like – spent in warmth, care and love.
Czesława Łasiewicz is the second supercentenarian in the history of Podlaskie Voivodeship and remains the longevity recordholder of this region, the coldest in the country.

October 2018; Irena Śmiałowska, 110 & Waclaw Jan Kroczek in Legionowo, Masovia Voivodeship, Poland. Mrs. Śmiałowska was the third oldest living person in Poland at the time the photo was taken. She worked for many years as a librarian, and was an aunt of the famous actor Daniel Olbrychski.

Mrs. Partyka was the second supercentenarian in the history of Lubuskie Voivodeship and she would live on to become the second person in Poland who turned 112 years of age, behind Tekla Juniewicz of Gliwice.

April 2021; Stanisław Kowalski, 111 & Wacław Jan Kroczek in Świdnica, Lower Silesia Voivodeship, Poland. Stanisław Kowalski set the European record in 100 meters run in centenarian category in 2014. Then, he lived on to become the first male supercentenarian in Poland, and the oldest living man in Europe.

February 2019; Wanda Szajowska, 108 & Waclaw Jan Kroczek in Kraków, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The two later met in February 2022 on Mrs. Szajowska’s 111th birthday which were the first such in the modern history of Lesser Poland. Having played the piano on her 111th birthday, Mrs. Szajowska became the oldest pianist to give a piano concert to the crowd of people gathered under her window. It was due to Covid-19 restrictions.

August 13, 2022; Agnieszka Strzałka, 110 & Waclaw Jan Kroczek in Kolonia Sól, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland. Agnieszka Strzałka was the third supercentenarian in the history of Lublin Voivodeship after Jadwiga Szubartowicz (1905-2015) and Marianna Błaziak (1909-2019). She kept mental lucidity and she kept her interest in all that was happening in the world, having been listening to the radio until the end.

January 30, 2023; Jadwiga Żak-Stewart, 110 & Wacław Jan Kroczek in Łódź, Łódź Voivodeship, Poland. Mrs. Żak-Stewart was the second-oldest living person in Poland at the time of the visit as well as the third supercentenarian in the history of Łódź Voivodeship.

Waclaw Jan Kroczek with Irena Siła-Nowicka (January 30, 1913 – June 25, 2023) of Poland
March 12, 2023; Irena Siła-Nowicka, 110 & Waclaw Jan Kroczek in Warsaw, Masovia Voivodeship, Poland. Mrs. Siła-Nowicka is wife of the late Władysław Siła-Nowicki, a notable figure in Poland’s 20th century history, lawyer, politician, 1939 September campaign veteran and 1944 Warsaw Uprising veteran, dissident and activist of the anti-communist underground, defender of Solidarność activists, participant of the Round Table agreement. Irena and her husband are very brave people, having safed a young Jewish girl during the occupation, and withstood the nine years’ separation when her husband was a prisoner of the new communist regime for his pro-independence activity. Despite this, Irena raised two daughters, and in her 111th year of life she retains excellent mental health, reading books and being updated with all events from the world.

Having celebrated 110th birthday, Anna Gawłowska became the second supercentenarian in the history of Silesia Voivodeship, behind Tekla Juniewicz of Gliwice (1906-2022). At the time of her birthday, she was the fourth-oldest living person in Poland.
