Biography
Pei Punson claimed that she was born in South Korea (then Joseon Dynasty) on 20 March 1886. She emigrated to Japan in 1938.
Following the death of 106-year-old Kou Kamiki on 17 March 1992, Punson became the oldest living person in Hyogo Prefecture. In her last years, she lived in the nursing home Eieien [Japanese: 永栄園] in Kobe.
Pei Punson died of respiratory failure in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan on 4 May 1996 at the claimed age of 110 years, 45 days.
