At that time, she was the proud matriarch of a large and growing family, boasting 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 49 great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

Throughout her remarkable life, Whitehead has cultivated various hobbies, including cooking, baking, drawing, listening to music, and sharing captivating stories. Her grandniece, Gwendolyn Smith, attested that Whitehead has been a source of previously unheard family stories.
