Biography
Lillian Moran was born in Maddock, North Dakota, USA on 18 March 1911 to parents Jacob Jacobson (1886–1976) and Emma Julia Nottestad (1890–1990).
In October 1940, she married John Moran, and they farmed near Flora until his death in 1963. The couple had a son, Gary Wayne Moran (1942–2019).
In March 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
She became the oldest person living in the U.S. state of Minnesota, following the death of 114-year-old Erna Zahn on 9 August 2022.
Lillian Moran died in Moorhead, Minnesota, USA on 2 April 2024 at the age of 113 years, 15 days. At the time of her death, she was the fourth-oldest known living person in the United States, after Elizabeth Francis, Naomi Whitehead and Herlda Senhouse.
