Biography

Katsugo Tago was born in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan on 28 March 1910 as the eldest of 10 siblings.

She became the oldest known living person in Tokyo Prefecture, following the death of 113-year-old Fumi Hoshino on 23 August 2022.

Katsugo Tago died in Higashimurayama, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan on 1 December 2023 at the age of 113 years, 248 days.
