Biography

Juze Mauriciene was born in Pjaulokiai, Silute District Municipality, Russian Empire (present-day Lithuania), on 16 June 1909. She had 5 siblings. One of her brothers died at the age of 100. She lived in Zemaiciu Naumiestis for most of her life. She had 8 children (3 deceased as of 2019).

Mauriciene‘s husband died sometime in either the 1980s or 1990s. After his death, she moved into the home of her daughter Juzefa Venckiene (aged 88 in 2019).

In her last years, Mauriciene lived with her daughter and granddaughter in Klaipeda, Klaipeda County, Lithuania. She died on 30 April 2021, at the age of 111 years, 318 days.
