Biography
Jesus Mosteo Perez was born in Ricla, in the region of Valdejalon, Spain, on 1 January 1908. He was a farmer and a shepherd all his life, although he also dedicated himself to bullfighting. He was married and had at least one daughter.
From the age of 100, he stopped attending the media and his relatives also been reluctant to make statements about his longevity, In the last years of his life, he lived with one of his children in Salillas de Jalón, a neighboring municipality in region of Zaragoza.
On 1 January 2018, he turned 110. Exactly four weeks later, on 29 January 2018, he became the oldest known living man in Spain, following the death of 113-year-old Francisco Nunez Olivera. However, he wasn’t discovered by Spanish GRG correspondents until February 2018, so, 109-year-old Domenec Parramon i Cirera (1908 – 18 February 2018) was thought to have held the title.[1]
Jesus Mosteo Perez died in Salillas de Jalon, Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain, on 28 August 2019, at the age of 111 years, 239 days.
