Biography
Herlda Mildred Fairfax was born in Piedmont, Mineral County, West Virginia, USA, on February 28 1911 to parents John and Isabella (“Belle”) (nee Saunders) Fairfax.
Both of her parents died young and Herlda went to live with relatives in Massachusetts. In 1936 she married William Harold Senhouse in Boston, Suffolk County. The couple had no known children together. William passed away on January 9 1998, after which Herlda never remarried.
In February 2021 she turned 110, becoming a supercentenarian.
Herlda passed away in a care facility in Wellesley, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on November 16 2024 at the age of 113 years, 262 days.
