Biography
Félicité Jandia was born as Félicité Ajax in Le Vauclin, Martinique, France, on 12 February 1881. At some point, she married Louis Montabord (born 1863), and had at least two daughters: Julie Montabord (1906–2019) and Louise Montabord (1907–1990). Later, she remarried Jules Jandia.
Her first daughter, Julie Montabord, also became a supercentenarian in 2016, making them just the second known parent-child supercentenarian pair in history and the pair recordholder for the highest combined parent-child age.
Félicité Jandia died in Rivière-Pilote, Martinique, France, on 7 December 1992, at the age of 111 years, 299 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest living person in France, behind Jeanne Calment.
