Erna Henningsen

Erna Henningsen was born in Saxony, Germany, on May 24, 1889. On May 24, 1999, she celebrated her 110th birthday, becoming a supercentenarian. Henningsen was Germany’s second-oldest validated living person (Vice-Doyenne of Germany) behind Maria Laqua.

Henningsen died in Berlin, on February 27, 2000 at the age of 110 years, 279 days.

Her case was verified by GRG-Germany Correspondents: Thomas Breining and Stefan Jamin, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group on January 5, 2015.
