Biography

Ellen Johansson was born Ellen Elvira Mansson on 23 January 1887 as the third daughter of Olof and Anna (née Andresdottir) Mansson. She lived in Bårslöv until sometime after 1910; after that she moved to Helsingborg. She married Karl Hilmer Ernfrid Johansson (1893 – 1947) in Härslöv, located in Skåne, on 7 May 1892.

Ellen Johansson became the oldest living person in Sweden following the death of 109-year old Hilma Rothman on 20 September 1995.

Ellen Johansson died on 6 July 1997 in Helsingborg, Skåne, Sweden aged 110 years, 164 days. Her case was verified by Foti Tillo.
