Biography
Ceferina Giron Montverde was born in Alfonso, Cavite, Philippines on 26 August 1906, where she lived for her entire life. Between her early to mid 20’s, she married Pablo Montverde, with whom she had an unknown number of children.
In April 2014, she participated in a TV cooking show in her house, where she was prominently featured and interviewed as a guest for that particular episode. In August 2015, she had a large birthday party for her 109th birthday; she shared her party with a relative who just so happened to share the same birthday with her. Montverde became a supercentenarian in August 2016.
Giron Montverde died in Alfonso, Cavite, Philippines on 17 September 2016 at the age of 110 years, 22 days.
