Biography
Burdett (“Burd”) Thomas Sisler was born in Akron, Ohio, USA, on April 14 1915 to parents Burdett and Mabel Sisler.
The family moved to Canada when he was three years old, settling in Ontario. He married Mary Annie Norman on September 9 1939 and went on to have five children together. His wife sadly passed away in 1985, after which Burd didn’t remarry.
In April 2025 he turned 110, gaining supercentenarian status. Burd passed away in For Erie on April 2 2026, aged 110 years, 353 days.
