Biography
Anna Kieser was born in Lenzburg, Aargau, Switzerland on 12 April 1896. She married Hans Ringier in 1920 and moved to Zofingen, Aargau where she lived in her own home with her son since 1984 until her death. Hans and Anna had two children together. Hans died in 1930, only 10 years after marriage. Anna worked in a shoe store.
She became the oldest person in Switzerland upon the death of Suzanne Jaccard on 2 October 2004.
Anna Ringier-Kieser died in Aargau, Switzerland on 3 September 2006 at the age of 110 years, 144 days. Her successor as Switzerland’s oldest person was Rosa Rein (1897–2010).
