Ottilie Armilde Tinnuri, Estonia’s oldest person ever, dies at 110

The Gerontology Research Group is saddened to report news that Mrs. Ottilie Armilde Tinnuri, the oldest person ever in Estonia, sadly passed away in Rakvere, Laane-Viru County, Estonia on 1 April 2024 at the age of 110 years, 58 days. She was born in Siberi, Kunda, Laane-Viru County, Russian Empire (now Estonia) on 3 February 1914.
She took the title of oldest living person in Estonia, following the death of 107-year-old Vally Emilie Heinola on 25 August 2020.
On 11 June 2023, at the age of 109 years, 128 days, she surpassed the final age of Marfa Zurova (1888–1997), becoming the oldest person ever to lived in Estonia.
On 3 February 2024, she celebrated her 110th birthday, becoming the first Estonian supercentenarian ever recorded.
Her age was verified by Mr. Gordei Korjak (GRG Correspondent for Estonia), and validated by the GRG on 8 February 2024.
After the death of Ottilie-Armilde Tinnuri, the new oldest living person in Estonia is 106-year-old Larissa Sipitsyna (born 18 June 1917) of Ida-Viru County.
