The GRG announces the validation of Verna Mae Helm. Verna was born August 17th 1900 in Metropolis, Massac County, Illinois, USA, to Douglas and Mary Helm. She never married, nor had any known children. Verna lived in the same house she was born in for her entire life. She worked as a teacher for many years and reportedly traveled the world with a brother. She passed away in the same place she was born, on March 7th 2011, aged 110 years, 202 days.
Verna’s age was verified by Anson Davis, Ilias Leivaditis and Waclaw Jan Kroczek. This was accepted as validated by the GRG with a retroactive date of December 29th 2016.
