The GRG announces the age validation of Mary Elizabeth Grant, nee Williams. Mary was born November 22nd 1891 in Wayne County, North Carolina, USA, to James Woodley “Wood” Williams and Edith Elizabeth Williams, nee Hinson. She had at least four siblings. On July 31st 1907, Mary married Andrew J Grant in Lenoir County, North Carolina, going on on to have at least eight children together. By 1930, Andrew had passed away, after which Mary did not remarry. She lived most, if not all, her life in North Carolina. She passed away in Kinston, Lenoir County, North Carolina, on April 2nd 2002, aged 110 years, 131 days.
Mary’s age was verified by Anson Davis and Gabriel Ainsworth and validated by the GRG with a retroactive date of December 9th 2016.
