The GRG announces the age validation of Susan Rebecca Blanton, nee Clark, known as Sue to those who knew her. Sue was born February 3rd 1870 near Gurdon, Clark County, Arkansas, USA, to William and Barbara Clark. On September 1st 1892, Sue married Jeff Davis Blanton and they went on to have at least four children. Jeff sadly died on October 8th 1930, after which Sue did not remarry. One of Sue’s sisters reportedly lived to be 107 years old, showing that longevity may run in the genes. Sue herself passed away in Clark County, Arkansas, aged 111 years, 70 days, on April 14th 1981.
Her age was verified by Anson Davis and Daniel Gonik. This was accepted by the GRG as validated with a retroactive date of September 22nd 2016.
