Alma Minton (1896-2008) validation

The GRG announces the age validation of Alma Agnes Minton, nee Braddy. Alma was born December 8th 1896 in Alexander County, Illinois, USA to George and Susie (nee Vick) Braddy. She had at least two siblings – Ora (born 1898) and Doyle (born 1902). In 1920, Alma was working and boarding at the Elgin State mental Hospital as an attendant. On October 10th 1925, she married Robert Dewey Minton in Plainfield, Will and Kendall county, Illinois. After marrying, they lived in Arkansas and then Missouri. Robert sadly passed away on October 28th 1960, after which Alma did not remarry. As far as can be seen, Alma had no children and at her death, no known familial survivors. At some point after her husband’s death, she moved back to Illinois, where she spent the remainder of her life. Alma died on January 7th 2008 in a care facility in Flora, Clay County, Illinois.

Alma’s age was verified by Filipe Prista Lucas, Anson Davis and myself. This was accepted as validated with a retroactive date of September 19th 2016.
